Jay that is awesome, but it will cost a small fortune to feed that flock.

The birds in the picture are in the finch family, I call them red faced finches, we did not have such birds when I was growing up here, nor did we have black eyed junkels, or Canadian geese, but we do now. This morning there are 30 some mourning doves and at least that many quail out in the feeding station with the finches, junkels, and sparrows.

Re: Taps.

I expect you have seen them and said No I don't want one of those. Any points for mind reading?

Re: CCT

Yes I guess it is not like a phone where some places require that essential gimmick to be switched off. Sounds like old Jockstrap Naut.

CCT

I find my Kindle indispensible, especially if I have to spend time waiting in public places, like recently, LOL...And if you're feeling poorly, a good shot of Dalwhinnie will do wonders...

Yeah, taking that piece of old rock probably would hurt anything. I've done that too ( from a Civil War battlefield ). And reversing that taste in your mouth with a slab of bacon is probably like trying to cure a headache by driving a nail into your temple!  Oh, and my hand is raised . . . no Kindle over here!

Re:

Lo Jay nice to see you back. Sweet peas are fairly hardy, it is the light that is lacking this time of the year.

Re:

HM, Kabu a very serious confession, don't forget all America can read this. Please send me the rock and I will add it to my collection of illicit artifacts.

Re: That must have been a heckuva wave, or else the rock was

Yes the time had come like a bad tooth Pat time always wins. One has to plan ahead although one might not get there.

That must have been a heckuva wave, or else the rock was

ready to crumble. It's fun to think of spring things like planting and things blooming on a winter's day.  Thanks again for the bright photo.

love that cheerful flower and yes this is a harsh Winter everywhere it seems. I wonder if we are entering a cycle of harsh weather.

I have been known to take a rock from where I was asked not to.

When I see a shooting star

a bit of rock using our atmosphere to break down to component molecules, I can't help thinking how old that chunk was, and here we are, watching the very moment of its end.
