We are currently experiencing this very cold weather. We are accustomed to moderate weather even in winter and i have no idea what they would have done out in it. I am so thankful for counselors like yourself to spend the night with them so they could sleep inside as they can now every night from September to May.

I’ve spent a night as the counselor with homeless families at the main Presbyterian church in town. And there’s one Downtown in this city that serves soup suppers to the homeless every Wednesday night love. BC-A, Bill’s R☸☸st

It is really wonderful how some can help straangers. The Good Book says something to this effect. Do not forget to entertain strangers you may be entertaining angels unaware. That is not a direct quote but near it. I am not good at that sort of thing, but eorge is, he will welcome in and feed anyone that comes along.

Nurses so often bring hope and blessing to so many. George and I love and admire you too; however, we don't know how to properly apply our admiration of you. It is obvious you are humble and keep your bragging points well covered. We are not sure who you are but that is actually unimportant because we see the real you without any honors and badges. Thank you for reading me.

Yes dear one nursing is such a wonderful profession. George's youngest daughter is a nurse and she loves it so much. There is something so powerful and humble to feel you have made an ill person have hope. Thank you for your service to people.

well a special Thank you for the work your Churches do in your neck of the woods I believe is in order. Tis a wonderful, practical, true pastoral care ministry that is being undertaken.

And from my own career darling, I felt blessed and privileged every day I worked, it was never about the money ...although of course I valued myself enough to take my pay.

It is difficult to understand. A lot of it is because we do not deal with mental illness. It is a shame that so many with a mental illness are homeless or in jail because we do not address it square on and facilitate it.

Sometimes it's difficult for me to fathom that we are still dealing with homelessness in this day and age. But hats off to you and all of those churches for lending a hand to these poor people, and kudos to those nurses as well. A lesson for us all . . .

I have seen wonderful work Hospice has done but that was a disappointment to me. No we have only less than thirty but this way they are cared for nightly and helped to grow and get into a real life if they are mentally able.

wow I am not a fan of Hospice but the least they could do is take care of him in his dying moments,, In your small area you have a lot  of homeless?

Yes. Our Church started it here but it is patterened off a program in Nashville that began some time ago. It is effective. Some of them last year found homes, jobs and help of different kinds.

That is great to read of all the churches working together.
