Oakland Literacy Tutor

Hello CCC and Everyone!  I am a Oakland Literacy tutor. And I love it. Its volunteer no pay. It leaves a warm spot in my heart knowing someone is learning to read and write. I am actively looking for work. I hope to find paid tutor job. No I am not a teacher. Just someone who likes to polish what someone else already knows.

Re: Re: Re: T S

I went browsing and found a number of sites online that help students prepare for SATs, and I'm finding them useful, too, to see what kind of help a tutor needs to offer in that area. I just googled "SAT prep".

Re: CCT,

Heh... I have watched a lot of BBC over the years, and I understood that... though I couldn't identify what region speaks that particular English.

Re: FormerStudentIntern.

Indeed, even people who ought to know their English, don't.  Like professional journalists who don't know when to say he and I  or  him and me.

I think tutoring is an excellent way of supplementing one's income! A retired friend of mine has done it for several years now, and he has made a name for himself in our ever growing Chinese community...

Lucky students! And you can teach them connectivity

with a ball of yarn and a crochet hook while they memorize the facts.

Re: Kabu,

I would actually quite enjoy having a number of clients as, most likely, each one will come with different problems to solve.  And, of course, I would still like to get some more editing/writing for publication clients!

In Tudor times one needed a Tutor to teach them how to understand their Shakespeare...has anything changed??? Good luck i hope that you get just enough replies to make the money that you need but not so many that you don't have time for all the things that you enjoy.
