I think I can understand how the sudden SNAP of a mousetrap can set your nerves all a-flutter! And you're right . . . I believe that cats and mice have different interpretations of playing. Well, put yourself in the mouse's shoes . . .

if that was me the mouse would be playing run from the broom as it chases you

I don't really mind mice per se. It is when the little blighters appear in force. I just wish  cats would be more humane and bite their heads off before playing with them. I actually like watching a tiny vole nibbling the fallen bird seed, really cute.

Love the illustration! As for Mr. Rodent, I expect he has found lodgings where there is no huge, gray predator keeping watch...

That painting would make a good winter rock.
Perhaps a rodent rock would be nice, too.  Nerd smile

Well, I'm glad that Mr Rodent has escaped Mr G's claws and evil intentions! As a friend of the misunderstood and persecuted, I would have thought the lady of the house might have been a bit more welcoming towards Mr R...

A lot of excitement there with the mousetrap, I see.

Maybe Rodney Rodent has found a nice warm corner of your house

that you weren't using, anyway.

Mice are such pesky critters!  There's more of the story.  Love you.

go greysome, friends are easy to make. most of mine i met in the booby hatch! so easy to make friends with a crazy, captive audience. te he. anyway, i haven't seen any more mice dead or alive since i took the bull by the horns and put out some decon and the maintance man, (doug is his name) put out two traps of the wooden variety. i'm still living with the decon and traps but with no mice i don't mind. i really like my apt and the neighbors are great so i've come to accept my lot.
