I like your little poem. I didn't see this before.
Fall leaves always prompt me to be creative in someway, but I usually am not, so I just take pictures of them.

Certain times of day with the sun just angling toward the west
when the air's like wine and leaves glow from the trees, I want to spread my arms and dance along that same pathway through the woods where I walked at fifteen, listening to the earth spin in its orbit. That day it seemed all was right with the world.

they inspire me to paint those colours and they remind me of the beauty of life and how much we should enjoy it before it is too late and all gone.

The fall leaves make me think of change, obviously seasonal...Then, I find it soothing to see how bare the trees are.
