Ciel

It's nice to make the effort, but for a number of reasons I just didn't do it this year. There was just the pumpkin with the scary face and the candle inside to let kids know they were welcome to 'trick and teat'...

Re: Adnohr,

Small, cheap, kids love em... What's the downside?

Bic lighters?? I won't be sending my grandkids your way . Nobody here either, too far out...and wet, wet weather.

Re: Pat,

Boo Who...?  If someone showed here under thunder and lightning, I'd offer a warm cuppa and toast, maybe.  Let's see... something about lightning and Frankenstein's Monster comes to mind...

Re: CCT,

Birds, squirrels, Archie...  I was happy to give away the gumdrop lollies I have had in the house for some time... Put them out for guests, but cheery as the things were, no one wanted them. Of course, they don't get stale, either, and have a festive look. Nicer than just another mini candy bar! I considered handing out the stock of condiment packets that has accumulated from fast food and Chinese take-out, as kind of a health message: Practice safe snacks: Always use condiments! But Charlie didn't approve of that idea.  He didn't like the idea I had last year, either, for something small and cheap that kids would like: Bic lighters.

Not one trick or treater - actually had rain & thunder... Boo Hoo....

Your decorations sound very spirited...

Not one caller Ciel, but it was raining so I did not expect much action. Now I have to eat all these horrible bags of pop corn, I suppose the birds might help out. I do admire your son's involvement in this strange ritual.
