This is heart breaking, and I am sorry I did not read sooner, it seems the weather is getting colder everywhere. God bless.

Darling it is okay to jump up and down do some lady-like cursing, cry and yell after all your best friend and love is in pain and you can not stop it.

Kabu..that chair should do wonders for Wiley...

I know I had one waiting for me (a year ago today) when I came home from the hospital and it has helped a lot...hey, go ahead and yell when you want to, or let the tears flow...there's no shame in that....

my son who is only 46 suffers from that sometimes too, wish they could find a diagnosis for them both

You and Wiley are at the top of my list of heroes.

Not the gung-ho Seal Team 6 heroes who scale walls and kill terrorists, but the unsung heroes who keep on keeping on no matter what, and take their fair bites out of life every day even when it's hard or scary. There are so many at the Center, making jokes about Arthur-itis and vision problems. They hate having to depend on walkers to get around, grunt trying to lift out of their chairs - but they gather to talk and sip coffee, they play bingo and keep one another in good spirits. I feel so lucky to go to the Center and feel useful - the things they overcome every day make me realize I should stop whining. As for Wiley - I'm so glad he's determined to beat this condition and keeps getting up again. You're the reason for it, his inspiration.

All I can think of is that Wiley should walk as little as possible until these dizzy spells cease. Of course always use a Walker if you have one. I expect the local hospital lends suitable equipment, do not be afraid to ask for help and take care of yourself.

Kabu

There has been far too little research done on Fybromyalgia, particularly for men. But a doctor not far from us with a long and fairly large practice began getting strange bouts with something he nor his associates understood. He admitted he had considered Fybromyalgia  a possible myth. Nothing he tested for shed any light on his condition. He had such problems for such a time his practice was suffering. A patient simply came in and went through all the symptoms he had been having. She told him it was bad but as she aged it worsened. He did get a diagnosis and has changed his practice to treat only Fybromyalgia patients. It is not a myth. Has he been tested he must have a Rhumotoligist (can't spell) test him. God bless you both this is terrible. just check it off before giving up the hunt for a better way.

Tell WileyJohn that the first time I go down, I'm going to start using the walker that Florida Son sent me just in case.  So far I have been able to control myself when I get a dizzy spell, but I know that won't last forever.  In fact, now that I think of it, I'm going to set it up in my shower....soapy tresses and closed eyes to keep out the soap and holding my head back to rinse and stuff like that always makes me dizzy.  Those chairs like the one you bought today are really nice and really helpful.

Here is to hoping that you both find out why this is happening...I imagine we will get our first snow flurries sometime in November.

This is not good! Have you thought of getting a light-weight walker suitable for around the house? Wiley may not like the idea, but I think he would like the idea of breaking something even less...

And now I'm crying for you both, Grandmummy.  My heart is broken in two again.  But as you say, at least it was only the coffee table leg and not Poppy's.  Give each other a big hug and kiss for me and tell him 's ya.
