TAPS

Well, as I've said before, I shall refrain from commenting on U.S. domestic politics...

It brings this awful law to light. If we do not stand up for what is right, when do we stand up? Look at the waits folks in Canada have just to see the doctor. Look at the breast cancer survival rates in England compared to ours...This law will destroy this nation and it will distroy me and millions like me and I want my members of Congress to fight it at every turn no matter how futile.

Re: UtahJay

Please help me here UtahJay because I really don't know.  How is this long speech of Senator Cruz going to help?  I don't understand.  Wikipedia talk:  "On September 24, 2013, at 2:41 PM EDT, Cruz began a speech on the floor of the Senate taking on the Affordable Care Act. The speech was in response to a continuing resolution designed to fund the government and avert a government shutdown while defunding the Affordable Care Act. Cruz promised to keep speaking until he was "no longer able to stand,” although he was forced to yield at 12:00 PM EDT on September 25, 2013 for the start of the new legislative day. Cruz's speech lasted for 21 hours and 19 minutes, the 4th longest in United States Senate history."  How did this help anything?  How will this help your own personal situation?

They're such a tangled mess of missed opportunities and

mangled priorities, polishing their military/industrial supporters while letting the dust settle on the rest of us. Rita Mae Brown wrote a phrase in one of her books about a town (I think she was talking about Seattle at the time) that needed a good enema. I think the congress should get in line for the same procedure.

I only know what the new law will do to me and millions like me. I make 1400$ a month. It will cost me almost half of that to buy the insurance the law demands I buy. If I do not buy the insurance, they will fine me 750$ and raise my taxes by 5%. So what do I give up? Food? MEDS? The car? The house? Should I live on the street for this newe and wonderful law? God bless Senator Cruz.

I don't like 'em either. I can see posturing on TV anytime by listening to the soaps, and it is better acting. Love the poem though, and the picture.
