Like TAPS, I love all trees, and your poem made me very sad. Uncle ALbert's tale is always funny though, so the day was saved. I love mushrooms, but had never heard of coconut ones either. Do they sell them only in your country, I wonder?

Re:

Well lets hope the  don't get the disease Bro. Glad you have bounced back again. As I keep telling my sister you have to expect the old body to slow down a bit at times.

Re: Re: Kabu

uncle Albert strutting his stuff is really good reading...just as long as it doesn't include doing a strip tease.

CCT...

A fitting tibute to chestnut trees...there used to be acres of them here in the city in the right spots, but now, they're very scarce....

Re: very moving and magical tribute to the old chestnut

I think they were the fair folks' creation Ciel but now they are on sale in shops. They are chewy and sprinkled as you might guess with coconut.

Also, I love trees and I hate to see one die of disease, or anything else.

CCT

First of all, methinks a Happy Birthday is in order, LOL! I have never heard of coconut mushrooms though - it sounds like a very exotic variety! Uncle Arthur's tale continues to fascinate, but the dying of the chestnut trees is very sad, of course. In these parts, all our beautiful Elms died decades ago...

I do not recall ever having tasted a mushroom...That was interesting with Uncle Albert and the eggs...The poem reminds me that our kids continue after we are gone.

One must have roasted chestnuts on a cold snowy winter's night. Uncle Albert I see is still reminiscing in spendid form and enjoy those coconut mushroom treats.
