You should have pushed that bee up a bit higher with your finger, it would have been nice to see it on the flower, Flower. What a good little Doctor I really think they do take more trouble than the old guys. Lets hope it can be sorted. Take care Flower.

That does sound like a better day. Hey, as they say . . . some days you bite the dog, some days the dog bites you! Watch your butt . . .

It has felt like fall the past day...I am glad to read that you and Wiley are well on your way to finding answers.

With all the stories in the news about die-offs of so many bees, I'm

happy to see you've got the big bumble bees at work. We depend on the pollinators to survive on this earth. I used to have a wasp colony living under the eave of my garage just where I had to walk to get back to my back garden. I learned to move slowly and just let them be, and they learned to ignore me. They scared the liver soup out of some visitors though, who'd start windmilling with their hands at the sight of one. There's room for all if we just live and let live.

So glad Wiley's doing okay and here's hoping there's really good news around the corner.

Nice bee shot!  So glad to hear Wiley is better today and you have some notion of what could be wrong, or at least part of it.  The kidney stone problems have affected my balance and dizziness before also.

Kabu

It's good to hear there's some action on Wiley's health front! And did you know that bumblebees are more efficient in pollinating plants than honey bees?

Yes a great picture, and good news from the hospital. I saw a big old bumble bee up at the lake yesterday. We talked awhile, but he so busy he couldn't stay...Maybe another day, he said and flew away.

Great picture, Kabu!! You're right, they are camera shy. I have some here too! Bravo for Wiley's walk, and the installation of the flag. I hope the scan will turn up some reasons.

Oh my gawd... I could not find the bumble bee you were talking about and all of a sudden there she was... So big and black I had not noticed it ...loll  I was looking for a little yellow and brown one like the ones in my garden  loll  Thank G-d they don't go after you to bite you cuz the sting from that lady must be something else  loll   My bumble bees are gentle and a little bigger than a large fly... They can be troublesome though... they tend to make hives in the darnest places, walls,  chimneys, even dog houses if the doggies are inside for the summer heat loll  They find any hole and move in . When they do hundreds of them get in there and to get them out is very hard.  My friend had a coral Chimney... As you know coral rocks have lots of little nooks and crannies... well sufficed to say they were very comfortable in there (Maybe the saying :  "snug as a bug"  comes from them  loll)  Anyway... My friend called the exterminator and they took the hive and all the bees out... in a month the bees were back... but how?  the entry opening was closed!  well they had left larvae in those little nooks and the larvae somehow survived!  Pesky little critters  loll  Changing the subject... I am so happy to hear our Willey is getting stronger and that you have your flag waving again... Be well my friend  xoxoxo
