That's disgusting, the stupidity of elected officials and bureaucrats. I wonder if some kind citizen with heart will go and get her sprung.

Sounds like this lady had more common sense than everyone in that court room put together (excluding your daughter, of course!).  Those people have some serious nerve, to assume they know what's best for a woman who seems to be taking perfectly good care of herself and a few 'pets'!

Re: Adnohr - racoons

She also thought the judge was arbitrary and didn't know sh*t from Shinola about wildlife. The woman had probably taken care of animals all her life. Stupid judge!

Re: Kabu - mad as hell

She was mad as hell too, and couldn't do anything to help. I think she was crying in frustration, because believe me, this girl is no wimp...

I'm with Kabu x 100!! That is totally unfair. Racoons do NOT have to have rabies to come and visit you - they'll come anytime if you feed them. Where in hell did that judge get his info??

I ain't sad, I am mad as hell...where was someone to hear her side....I could go on for on and on...and of course if she makes a fuss in the nursing home, they will medicate her

that's how I feel!!!!

Very sad! People sometimes become victims of the rules designed to protect them...

Wow!  If she cannot arrange to get out and go back home, I pray that she will adapt and learn to enjoy something/someone in that place.
