We listened to all the same radio shows, remember, "This is Tennesee Ernie Ford from Wheeling West Virginia." My brother Joe who is 90 today had brought us one of those short wave radios from the war. Dan and I, a younger brother than Joe, died last July at 81. We used to listen to that station until 4:00am That was the first I ever heard an American voice and country musiic.

Pat...
A few years ago, one of our local radio stations brought back programs like the ones you've mentioned, along with a couple I used to listen to when I was a kid (if my Mom let me stay up late enough) - "The Shadow" and "Boston Blackie"....guess I qualify as an old geezer, too....

You can never go wrong with chips and dip; I also like cheese plates with some interesting varieties, plain crackers on the side, and a carafe or two of Valpolicella...
