So Unfair

Some might refer to these cuts as Piracy (the cursor trick worked just fine for me!). I wonder if the paper-pushers and number crunchers in Washington ever stop to consider the human element of their decisions, or if they've ever spent time in a facility like the one Phil was enjoying? Perhaps leaving their offices and interacting with the general population would help them to make better decisions...

And once again, the people who can afford it the least are affected the most by government cut-backs! That's really a shame! Wanna get really pissed off? My wife and I saw a report not too long ago showing dozens of politicians ( and no one of real importance or prominence ) having their portaits painted, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayer's money! Meanwhile, schools and hospitals are suffering, fire houses and EMO's are being forced to close, our bridges and infrastructure are falling apart, and health-aid facilities such as you mentioned are struggling! These politicians have such a warped sense of priorities, and people still vote them into office anyway . . .

When the "big" guys mess around,

it's the "little" guys who bear the brunt.  And some folks' idealists are other folks fanatics.   And it seems to me, your son and grandson are some of the many who are paying the cost of the government games and pissing-matches.

Our government's priorities are, to put it plainly, ass-backwards.

Millions for "defense," not a dime for education. When did we become fascists?

Yes rough justice Taps. Your son is a hero, it cannot be easy for him. I don't honestly know what the answer is, but it does seem that money is available for some things that one would not deem terribly important.

These are some of the reasons I am and have been disturbed with our present government. They have cut lots that has to do with children. The white house is closed to children yet the presidents present trip to Africa has cost $100,000,000 dollars. Phil needs help more than this trip which is about nothing the US needs. i am so sorry. Maybe your son could see about some church group which might open a facility at a reasonable cost. I shall pray about this, it is so needed.
