Re: Naut,

I like my fish to have either interesting or entirely natural habitats.  This precludes treasure chests and sunken galleons with skeletons waving from them, bubble-activated scuba divers and wildly artificial colors of plastic plants and gravels.

And yes, these are Siamese Fighting Fish, and they will shred each other to death if two are in the same tank.  That's why each one has his own.  They make fine community fish as long as no one else in the community has long flowy fins. Some folks put them in side-by-side little tanks, so they are constantly aggressively displaying their lovely fins, but that, in fact, keeps them in a constant state of agitation and stress which seems hardly kind.  So--each of mine has his own tank, and a good bit of space around it, so they are not within sight of each other.

Re: Thanks, Pat!

That's because I delete the several times more that are less than clear!

Beautiful fish! And I really like it that your aquarium is devoid of the kind of clutter often found there, like Spanish galleons, treasure chests and skeletons, LOL. But I do wonder: Aren't these fighting fish? Is there a chance that they'd tear one another's fins to shreds?
