I am usual over cautious when it comes to speed

Speeding is a serious infraction.  Where I live, I heard about a man who caused a serious accident.  He was going 60 mph in a 35 mph zone.

glad you dont get tickets, can be very expensive plus having to take a class means time off of work.  interesting post because last week on my way to work, all highway, a cop had a person stopped and writing out a ticket every day, then my husband and i went to town after work and again we saw a cop writing a ticket, the county must need more funds.

Very lucrative spot for fines no doubt. Ten miles is a bit hot,

I've been guilty of speeding, and had the tickets as a result. It does put money in their coffers, but it also helps to save lives. People tend to pay more attention when the wallet suffers.

gone are the days that police actually do something besides set up speed traps to up their revenue!

Ugh, I don't like speed traps!

There are quite a few around here; you can't maintain a consistent speed for any length of time on certain streets and roads - when the limit goes up, you have impatient drivers tailgating, when it goes down (before coming back up again!) you risk a speeding ticket if you don't slow down quickly enough. There are no reasons for these manic-depressive speed limits; no schools, etc. just a way for the town to collect some extra cash... Sorry for the rant, lol..

I hate to be so callous but, it's hard to feel sorry for those particular people! No matter where you are, assume someone is watching! If the speed limit is 30 mph, you're simply better off doing 30 mph! Cops love to fill their coffers off of ignorant people . . .
