Re: regarding Lucy...

ciel, that is soooo sweet of you to do that, i will be sure to ck my email.  we have two dogs lucy is just 2 and ace is 8 or 9, not sure because he was adopted.  but he takes care of lucy, i notice that when there is another dog around he gets between it and lucy, and if he hears her barking he runs to her.

That can become a habit. I have learn to STOP MYSELF for I had a really bad habit of taking on much that was for others. It is hard for high energy people like us!

regarding Lucy...

I asked my daughter, the one who trains dogs, if I could pass along her email address to you for some consulting.  She said, "Sure!"  Her specialty is working out behavioral difficulties, as well as basic training.

We didn't get Davy socialized as early as we should have, and while he loves people, he is very uncertain of other dogs.  Better now, but he still has issues with some people--like that guy who taunts him--and dogs who are not... sane, quite. Not balanced or comfortable around other dogs. He is fine around mature, calm dogs.  I guess he amplifies back what he senses.

Anyway, watch your email...

Well sadly JS one just cannot run around like a sixteen year old when one is Forty. Seeds have the annoying way of not responding when watched, sunshine helps.

As with eating, it's all about moderation. There's another word that comes to mind as well . . . pacing! One must learn to pace oneself, regardless of the endeavor, or you may burn out before your time! Quality is definitely better than quantity, but there's no reason to shorten the quantity unnecessarily . . .
