Re:

Hello Marrise yes I expect we should be saying it is too hot as soon as the sun begins to shine. I have to be careful in my greenhouses it can soon scorch the seedlings.

Re: FS

Yes it is packings of chicken etc. That I am wary of FS although sometimes folk have no idea of the potential for tummy upsets. Thank you.

The tunnel looks impressive!  March was cold here too, opposite of last year, and April is still wintry so far.  It has to heat up sometime, I guess.

It is great to see you back on here...I've wondered that too about the germs on those supermarket conveyor belts.

Re: LLM

Thank you LLM no need to tell you these things last longer than one would wish.

One thing I have had it before and know how to tolerate the symptoms. Take care.

Re: Wiley

Yes very annoying Wiley, but no use making things worse, it is a bit of a shock when one comes to pay for services. It is no use though thinking money is worth the same as it used to be. I hope you enjoy your shower don't have the water too hot.

Re: Rumour

Thanks buddy I will have to see how all you guys have been behaving yourself. It is wonderful what one can do when one has two strong men helping.

Re: Jimmy

Thank you Jimmy and after much consideration, at your suggestion I must admit, I have decided to move any poems that do not relate to gardening onto the poetry blog. A pity

germs are not a bright blue or red, we must have a good immune system to tolerate such close proximity. Get those tree stumps up.

Re:Justi

Thank you Justi, I hope we shall be back to normal soon. The sun seemed to be warmer yesterday I love the spring sunshine as I know you do.

Re: Naut

Sorry Naut your cold weather doesn't count, you are tougher, and wiser. One only has to look at the bus queues, all standing shivering, not wrapped up enough, it does not matter when one is young.

I have done my share of that.

People walk around here

Re: Taps

Hi Taps sorry to hear of your loss, my near neighbour died about the same day, I looked out of the window and all the houses seemed to be in mourning. Take care and thank you.

Re: jeansaw

Thank you JS obviously I should have waited until it was better weather, but Labour was available, the only thing I was worried about was the snow with this type of tunnel. One must always be wary of a deep fall .

Re:

Yes good thinking Sam you don't want to find a burst pipe when you turn the water on or even one leaking. The good news is houses are beginning to increase in value again so I think it will prove to be a good buy.

WOW CC! It's looking great! I thought you might be busy with this project and I was about to send you an email to check on you! I should be closing on my house very soon! I did tell everyone that I wanted an inspection especially on the pipes! I also asked if the heat had been left on during the winter, too! I have not received an answer yet! Good to have you back! sam

glad to see you back,

we have been having another cold spell on this side of the pond too.

your ground and tunnel look really professional.  know it must of been loads of work and hope you regain your strength soon.  but it will be worth it when you see all your plants taking off (growing quickly) in the warmth of the tunnel.

So glad to see that you are back.  I missed you and your poems and your pictures.
Sorry that Poly- has had you down and been giving you a hard time.  My last remaining brother-in-law gave up the ghost on April Fools Day, giving in to pneumonia and heart disease.  He was only 73.  He will be missed.

CTT

Glad you're back! And never mind your March - we've had the coldest March since March was invented, even earlier, actually - since the Big Bloody Bang! But I do like your tunnel...

Glad to see you back, and hopefully doing much better! Yep, looks like your tunnel is really coming along. And I don't blame you for avoiding the "wet spots" on the belts! Why take any chances . . . ?

ChiffChaff

Welcome back my friendly Bro. Nice piece of construction work there and I am sorry to hear about your fibromyalgia. My left leg and back are still crook as Kabu says so I've got a plumber installing a shower because I just can't do that stuff anymore.
