I cracked up when I heard about this..:)

I mean he does kinda resemble; um, never mind, lol..Politics in the U.S. seems to be a spoof industry - who's on today hilariously imitating a serious minded body concerned about the issues...

I think like you and Naut, Pat_B. They're just a distraction. Wars have been won like that.

Some people call it "political mudslinging," while others might simply decree "all's fair in love and war!" Either way, I'm on Mahr's side on this one. I sometimes wish The Donald would jusy buy an island somewhere and go away . . . forever. He can be such an embarrassment sometimes!

Re: UtahJay - the nation is so bitterly divided it may turn to blood

You're right UtahJay - we do live in a scary world. We all need to be just a little more tolerant of other opinions.

Re: Nautikos -- Trump is a side show --

I fear it's one more of the "bread and circuses" we're being distracted by while something serious is going on behind the scenery.

Pat

We should distinguish between 'real politics' and the public arena in which some of it is played out, and in which the spectacle is trump (pun fully intended, LOL); Trump is a side show, but side shows serve an important function - they're entertaining and make people forget that there are actually important things going on...

if you wear your hair...and I question if it can really be hair...but if

you wear it like the Don does, one has to accept quips. It is just too good not to. But Mayer is flashing his eyes as well at the come back...if I were the judge I would ask for 2.5 million from them both to a charity of my choice.

The sad truth is that politics has gotten beyond the friendly differences of opinions of the Kennedy era to the point where the nation is so bitterly divided that it may turn to blood before it is all over...We live in a very scary world now.

Goodness Pat I though our politicians were droll, but they are more careful with the lolly/

I think he should pay up.

Maher is sometimes right, sometimes funny, but I can't get past his obvious conviction that he is the  only smart guy in town.  Can't say I like him much better than the Master Comb-over, and that 5 mil would be more meaningful to someone... Though I can't imagine what Trump's favorite charity would be.

In the meantime, I will be watching Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert who are a lot funnier, and I can like them, too.
