CTT

I know what you mean - sometimes, instead of calling out 'the horror, the horror', I feel like mumbling, 'the boredom, the boredom'...

CCT

But, they breed new roses. Are they the same one sir? Maybe like people thay have a lot, living on this earth in common. And yet they’re all variations like individuals and personalities sir. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

Re: Adnohr

Lo Adnohr I would love a dog but they are inclined to run off and it is curtains if they cross the green patch and hit the road. The cats I have are all strays, one settles in and takes over, this is a good one at present she does not chase birds, so she can be forgiven for being catty. Take care.

Always enjoy reading you...

Ah, CCT, we all have those dull days. Not that the thought is any help to get rid of your own.Maybe adopting a dog or cat would help? Many of them looking for homes. They don't care if you're dour, as long as you pat them on the head now and then. Your poem expressed the feeling very well...hanging in there...biding time....

Re: Pat

Yes Pat the fire is dying down, time to kick the ashes into the mud. How can I do otherwise  with such charming ladies to correspond to. A bit of flattery hurts no one. I expect you sometimes feel like me, you look at what you have written and wonder if it really makes sense.

Re: FS

Thank you my friend, at least you always remain cheerful these days, I know it is not always easy, but we have to make the most of it, I am always glad of turkeys scraps, but I expect you have used them up in sandwiches by now.

Re: Annicita

Hi Anni the kind of sunshine we get round here at the moment is like someone has dipped a wet paintbrush into a pale lemon colour and just put a few streaks across a grey sky. How is your love life?

Re:

Well thank you J a Y, I will suss it out later. I have this other problem, my trousers keep falling down and I dispensed with my belts long ago. It makes it hard to walk when shopping holding the bags in one hand and my dignity in another.

Re: Great Poem old man. have a chocolate and a glass of port and you will start

No you need Cotswold roof slates. I am sure you will find a suitable material eventually, the sad thing is you had the ideal material out in Aussie land, if you could paint ostrich eggs, but I don't suppose there are many dropping eggs around your parts. I just think something like that would add to the novelty of the project, as I said before a lady I once knew painted goose eggs, but I think you could upgrade to a larger bird, if you behave.

Great Poem old man. have a chocolate and a glass of port and you will start

to feel more the right thing.

Oh but I laughed when you suggested that my Rock art looked like a stop light for Gnomes. Cheeky thing. I am using much thinner material, some slate but it splinters off and is not as easy to work with. Well, no task worth while doing is easy.

I think the "I'm getting tired of writing here on Blogit" has got into quite a few as of late. Perhaps it is my fault, or the tilt of the earth, or the tightness of the trousers, it's hard to tell of course, which finger to point when the blues come to town, but it might help to know that I was worried about you. Leaving like that and with no word as to where you might be, but I suppose those who needed to know knew, there in your neck of the woods. I'm just happy that your back and without a nick or a bruise...By the way, the poem was first class today, top drawer all the way. Before you ran off I did as you asked, as I always do, and wrote one that rhymed just for you.

The poem fits well with a November day...I'm still wishing you all the best.

This one is cowboys by the fire, keeping watch on a winter herd,

there's a bleak November cast to the air, and a plodding need to keep on keepin' on. It's the way of men working in the outdoors, taking small comforts. The mood is so well expressed in your words that others just find the page here. Hope your mood is brighter as today blooms. :)
