I think you have to have that pain checked out CC and that's some poem you have there - very creative I thought.

Wow - that poem is a sit down and read again poem! You must have been a cave man in a former life. As for overexerting yourself, well - as I tell my rug rats - you can do what you want, but you will be paying the consequences!!

You are so right CC, I always do things I'm not suposed to do, just like you, and end up with pains, I do hope it was just a muscle strain in your chest and not a heart pain...It was wasn't it?

Re: Pat

Very sensible Pat some of us are always young at heart, well I think that is the problem. Where is the rub? My Dragon actually just said that, it must be developing an intelligence of of its own.

Hi FS, a little secret, you can do it when you are your age. With we old guys the spirit is strong but the flesh is weak.

Re: CCT

Thank you Naut . I expect the Stilton should be treated with the same respect. You sure have plenty of willpower.

As the Doctor said to me 'Don't expect me to come out to you if you have  coronary.'

Silly old rabbit.  I said 'Don't worry I'll be dead before you get there.'

Re: A

A it was really the second part of something written but I could not find the first part as usual. It was about these people who lived in a mountain cave during the winter and how they survived by using food they had dried and preserved during the summer. My fault, I was just being lazy.

CCT

I too save port for Christmas, when I'll have it with some Stilton, and I too sometimes succumb to its lure, as it is sitting there in the corner on the table, hiding behind the other bottles; but of course I rarely have the required Stilton handy...

Your poem? An amazing journey of the imagination...

I've pushed myself a time or two as well, therefore, I know that I would have done the same if I were in your shoes...Some great imagery you got there in the poem.

We all want to be young and have our full strength back.

We all succumb to the temptation to overdo when for one reason or another we are feeling up to doing so. Otherwise we might as well just lie down and wait for them to throw a dirt blanket over us. Sip a bit of the port. Carpe diem!
