had my guy won. McGovern... Gore... surely would have taken us different paths throught the Great Wood. It's a hazardous Wood, and not all leaders are wise or right or lucky. And none of them, as I recall, has been perfect. The only one I was truly bitter about, though, was (as a student translator in Iraq referred to him ) Little Bush.

That's a healthy attitude to take, especially when it comes to politics. The most obvious quote to adhere to is probably "A house divided against itself cannot stand!" And we seem to be very divided right now . . .
