Re:

Thanks for reading FS. Yes, psychology can be quite the confusing subject, I think. As all the sciences and psuedo-sciences.

Re:

Yeah, I think that's safe to say, UJ. I have a pretty dark history of my own. But their are also those of my family tree that grew up on the brighter side...yet they chose to stand on the dark side of life. I guess s..t happens, ya know. Thanks for reading and commenting.

As I recall in my psychology class, there's a mix of nature and nurture at play.

I never killed anyone, but I am a recovering addict, I did grow up hard and have known plenty of both of what you are talking about. For me, it is a little of both, both nurturing and environment played into a hard life that never turned around until I was 57 and it is the same for most the folks in my group, some of which have hurt folks and spent years in prison. I think it is both.

Re:

Hi, CCT. There are no rights or wrongs with that question. Lol! Im one who thinks it's as the Psychologists say--a theory (or opinion). Just one of those things that make ya say hmm? Thanks for reading.

Well if you take say a baby gosling and nurture care for it, the imprint of a mother will be set and it will follow legs. At a very young age I believe we are at times imprinted with

anything traumatic, if a certain woman or man were to beat us with a stick, one would be wary of any traits that would show later in a partner or associate even into late adult life. one example. OK I may be wrong.
