Re: Ciel

Good to stay off the beaches, and not get sand in the naughty bits.

Happy unpacking, if that's possible, LOL. I once 'did' Washington instead of Florida during March break, many years ago, in nice company, and we loved it! The Smithsonian (well, some of it) and the National Gallery of Art, but also some wild parties...And we didn't even miss the beaches...

Re: Adnohr, as I said to Kabu...

Yes... but... It was such a great thing to visit her in New Zealand, and before that, in Singapore.

Re: and I am sure it is wonderful to be with daughter again.

Yes, it will be much easier to visit both daughters at the same time now... though I can't say I minded visiting the one in New Zealand...

Re: There's so much to see in that city. If only the Smithsonian...

Yes, the Smithsonian is here.  I almost always choose the Natural History museum, and the Science and Industry one.  Maybe this time I will visit something else. The National Museum of the American Indian is a fine option!

Re: Exciting place to live and work!

Yes, Katray, it is pricey, and they are both fortunate to have good jobs to allow for equipping the house as they want it, and doing some improvements and updates.

I'm sure you are glad to have her back in America!

There's so much to see in that city. If only the Smithsonian...

Isn't the Smithsonian in DC?  And the mall, the memorials, all the history. As for the packing and moving, that doesn't appeal quite so much. Have fun. :)

Exciting place to live and work!

I almost bought a house near DC several years ago, but the job didn't pan out the way I needed it to - it's an expensive place to live...:) Happy Unpacking...
