i worked the special olympics one year while studying in the university.  it was bowling and the kids had a blast regardless of their score

I spent the last twenty years of my working life owning a business that converted vehicles for the disabled. I have done work for several Para Olympic athletes who live here in Utah. One gave me a signed copy of his book. There is nothing quite like seeing the smile of someone that you gave their freedom back to. Great post today Amanda.

Missed all the Olympics this year,

having no tv here. But I am also missing the barrage of campaign nonsense, and that is a considerable relief.

And now, I am thinking about clean contests and dirty ones, noble efforts, and sly ones...  true sportsmanship, and anything-to-winsmanship.
