A few years ago, we were out of power for 3 days in 100 degree weather. Ughh! My heart goes out to those people too!

I myself tend to get a lot of poison ivy in my backyard. I have to be careful as does anyone else to who goes back there.

yeah power does help for fans and A/C maybe there are some out there that run on batteries. Its not as hot here as it is in other arears but if it was and no a/c I would be big trouble Where I moved from its in the 60's

At our local farmers market there's one booth of painted rocks...
Those little round-oval but flat river rocks that are smooth and gray are painted to look like ladybugs, with the wings red & little black dots on each wing. They do others, but it's kinda neat to come upon a card table full of bright ladybugs each the size of the bowl of a soup spoon. Must be fun collecting the rocks, too.
Funny how automatic our thoughts - the AC doesn't work, use the fan... duh!

I must say that I like a/c plus fans. They work together well and one doesn't have to run the temp so low if fans are moving the air.
