I imagine the Swag Man would tell quite the story.

we had one of those men, but the thing was he was rich, but preferred to roam the streets.  We called him Nike since he always wore Nike shoes.  I heard he died on a park bench one winter.

Love your gnomes. Just don't let them take over your home. My Dad said he remembered hobos too and the marks they left letting others know of handouts.

If I remember correctly, the hoboes put a smiling pussy-cat face on

a gatepost or the nearest telephone pole to indicate a kind-hearted woman lives there. I'm guessing the gnomes use telepathy.

Kabu it all looks so pretty. We had those during the depression. They would stop and live where they found work, bring mama and the kids and stay. It did not last long and Mama never allowed them to work, nor did she give them anything to last, just a meal and they were on their way. You are doing a lot of work.

Reading your story I am reminded of the old town drunk in the old west, almost always with a broom in his hand, he had a place to sleep and did just fine on the kindness of others, before the days of food stamps, back when we took care of our own.

Well we had tramps here in those days Kabu and I am giving you a warning they use to leave a marker outside a person's house who was a soft touch. So keep a look out for anything a bit unusual such as a stick with a bit of ribbon attached. Those who are Gnomeless might sneak in during the night.I could have such fun if I lived next door.

The flowers look fantastic! How horrible to stack the wood as though it represented something it was, but I guess that's the way they were~ sam
