That was very clever on the Council Cuts and how the ticket was assessed struck me as rather whimsical! I wish I could have carried the innocence of childhood into adulthood as though it were a safety net of some sort to ward off the ugliness of growing up! sam

Powerfully done, CC!

I recall that confusion too and you are right it can follow one's journey; some find their answers whilst others grow into enjoying the search..

Maybe I should post that?

I have seen some children way to small to carry such burdens for so long and so far, only to find out once they got where they were going that they could have let them go years ago.

Re: WILEY

I thought Wiley will be divulging his secret recipe, my Mum used to make the bread, but we gobbled that up too quickly/  Wiley disabled stickers are even sold at times, very tricky though if one gets caught.

love it all as always of course. Whimsical poem to doubts of self re unable

to keep a childhood vow. dear CC. I broke everything over the years....even marriage vows. oops! But as a child I can sing as i did when I was little......

"Jesus loves me this I know

For the Bible tells me so.

Little ones to him belong

I am weak but he is strong.

Yes Jesus loves me

Yes Jesus loves me

Yes Jesus loves me

The Bible tells me so"

Oh my goodness from the flowers to the last line I was hooked. It all was great. Child vows are like any made by child or grown up... We can't keep them, that is why we have Grace to fill in what we can't do. He hears a child's vow as strongly as an adult. We only have to say to Him I am sorry I missed the mark a mile today will you take up my slack? He will, he does. Thank you for the beautiful comment you left on my blog - George thanks you too.

Birdie Hi .. Great poem and picture. I really believe that as children we had great guilt from actions that our creator did not intend for us to carry the burden then or into adulthood.

Ah yes - the priests here in Quebec did a fine job of putting pressure on the children. No darned wonder the majority of the new generation has completely turned against the church! Like you, I believe that what happens in childhood stays with us. Hoepfully when adults we learn to handle it. Beautiful flowers!!!

Childhood promises are so ironclad, so solid and true.

I hope you'll let yourself off the hook now.

Chiff.Chaff.

I make my own bread so maybe I shall add raisins for eyes. Oh yes, parking tickets here if you don't put the quarter in the meter and get caught are $17.00. Loved the flower my friend

I think about now that my New Yorker Nephew is probably wishing that he had a parking ticket instead of what he got.  I noticed on FaceBook he was asking if anyone knows a good New York Traffic Lawyer as he needs some help with his reckless-driving ticket.  He didn't expound any further than that.

DC

I always like seeing the different shapes that come from the dough...The flu is never fun, and I'm thankful that it has been awhile since I have gotten one...I know of a few people who have gotten parking tickets.
