Hope your mom recovers quickly.

What a great mixed bag of a mother's day -- I hope thinking about it is nourishing for you. Thanks for reminding me of the Colo. Springs area, have good memories of camping in that area years ago, and a few days I spent with my younger sis when she lived there.

Yep - I bet having you & your sister there made it an enjoyable and special day for her. It's nice for you all to be able to spend that time together.

Ciel

I'm so sorry to hear that your Mom had this fall - it's something she would probably have laughed off in her younger days, but sadly old ladies tend to get so brittle...But I'm sure it gave her a terrific lift to see you...

Thank you, BrightIrish!

It is hard to get old, for some more than others. She still has an appetite for good food, though not much else still works.

Thanks, Kabu!

Yes, she loves flowers, and this one is very pretty.

She is very very frail, they couldn't put a cast on her arm, i guess because her bones are so brittle.

Flowers Hi. I'm sorry your mother was injured and glad to hear you spent quality time with her while also enjoying a delicious meal.

I am sorry that she fell and did so much damage. What a brave lady

and I am glad that you spent that time together. She will enjoy the potted plant.

Re: Jimmy, that was my sister's cookin'!

Mom doesn't cook any more, but she was a gourmet cook, and spoiled us all for mediocre cookery. She will be 90 come September 24.

Where's your mom, then?

That sounds wonderful but at the same time somewhat sad. I wish I could spend more time with my mother ( she lives a thousand miles away! ) Dinner sounded delicious. Was that menu from one of the cooking shows?
