It is a scary world out there for seniors. Well like 'adnohr' -without pit bulls- we live in the wilds so I think more of bobcats and bears which are much nicer than some of the baddies out there in the city.If you go to Radio Shack there are some great personal electronic alarms one can carry on their person that would be helpful luv.

Well Pat not many elderly people walk the streets these days, it is sad really because as kids we had no fear of gangs or drunken kids. Although we are not supposed to, I would have a nasty surprise up my sleeve if accosted. If I were a woman I would carry a pepper spray and an alarm. Although much apprehension is driven by TV reports. Hey what about your big dog, take him with you as well. Picked any strawberries yet?

LOL - love the way you carried this away! Here in the bush I stroll around in the dark - no problem - but then I'm accompanied by 3 or 4 dogs who think I'm their mother....

Pat

Maybe the media should report whenever anyone walked home safely from wherever they went, or did not have their homes burgled, LOL...Of course, then we'd say, OMG, that's news?

bright sunshine outside. actually here I won't venture out after dark ever because of bears and wolves and I don't know what else.
