Fox news got all over that anyway, so you didn't have to, just mention it here.  I have nothing but admiration for a woman that could be married to a high toned politician and raise five of his boys.  That sounds more demanding than a job that pays outside of the home.

Glad you both had fun birthdays!

Yeah, sometimes it's best to simply not say anything on certain topics, because you'll just get frustrated anyway. Think what you think, feel how you feel, and let the "talking heads" debate the rest. I'd rather converse with the chipmunks too!

I am so happy you kept away from politics love, and I'm not touching that comment the Rosen lady made, dumb is grown like a cactus.

I am so happy for you that you had a great two days! How utterly sweet of your granddaughter! I am of the inclination that it is a personal decision what a woman, or man, chooses to do with their life, it's that simple for me! sam

A wise decision to stay away from politics! Most people don't want to hear about it, and quit dropping in! I know from experience, LOL...

I love that a woman does have choices. I chose to stay home and raise my four children and then joined the work force. Raising my children was much more difficult than any other job I have ever had!

A woman does what she has to do!  I was one of those who felt I needed to work but at the time our children were young, I had a job that I could work part-time at. I enjoyed both worlds; being an employee & homemaker all rolled into one.  Thanks for sharing.

Excuse me the one on TV just today was talking about Ms. Romney. The one yesterday was talking about Santoriam. They are such twits.

Since I am, not interested in political debate, I would have liked to have heard your non-political viewpoint. Never mind I just thought of something quite exciting, can you remember your first  entry into this medium. I cannot remember mine but I do remember you and Wiley commenting on the first offering.I think it was 'Get lost.' Only joking.

Honey, I love reading what you write. But I heard that knuckle head say that Ms. Santorium had never worked a day in her life. I wanted so badly to ask her if she had children? I want her to know raising nine children is WORK beyond anything she knew; however, she has also worked. She is a nurse with some specialty. Find a dumb woman and you have found a really dumb thing. I would have loved not going away to work and leaving my children. You are so precious, just let them have it.

About the woman's work / choice debate....

I just heard that very discussion on "The View."

I admire any woman who can stay home and mother a brood full-time. There's no harder job in the universe as far as I'm concerned. I had to work, we needed the money. Even if we hadn't, I'd have probably worked because I also needed the recognition that comes with a paycheck. It's an emotional decision for a mother whether she decides to leave her kids in someone else's care so as to provide more material things, or to do without luxuries and spend her time and energy fostering their well-being.

You are right. We need to support one another.
