This whole issue would be a different debate, perhaps none,

if we really could get church out of state--such as, in defining what is the actual "beginning" of a human being in terms of biology instead of religious dogma.

Idiocrasy begins with legislating absurdity.

I used to be interested in politics, got away from it for a bit, just because the constant postering was distasteful. I do realize that we should keep our eye on it, so that some of those fools don't get carried away and mess up what we've got. I'd say like you - smokescreen.

Santorum (doesn't that guy know when to quit??? He reminds me of Monty Python's knight, LOL) and his fundamentalist wing  won't have much of an impact on this issue in the end. That Romney (who is far from being an 'anti-feminine control freak') wants to de-fund Planned Parenthood doesn't bother me that much either - it's pretty useless anyway, if you look at the stats, although it does sound like a sop to the religious right.

Yes, women have 'control over their bodies', as they should - in reality that issue has been settled in Western countries to varying degrees a long time ago. But there are other sides to all that, and in the days to come I may in fact adress some of them...

Pat sorry about yesterday , I was really thinking of the poem. Of course I agree with your misgivings, why should the State interfere in personal matters. I don't think that would be a vote catcher over here, females appear to do just what they wish, well the younger generation. Where else could you have a baby and then get a nice house and freebies. The trouble is it does not apply to a married a couple who might be desperate for a house.

O.K. frightened to cross your path luv, but then I love danger. Of course it's all a smokescreen and strange that both Romney or Santorum seem to me to be anti-female control freaks. It is so obvious that it makes a person wonder why they are running for the highest office in the world when they have minds that come from the Vatican or some other weird place.
