Sam thank you, I find it much easier to put everything on one blog, not strictly kosher I suppose, but I thought anyone just interested in the photos need not comment on the rest.

Beautiful flower! I would never critize your poems because I adore them and always look forward to the ending since I haven't a clue as to how you might wrap it up and that makes for great anticipation for me! sam

There are some tender souls who need encouragement, and then there are some tough, well-weathered souls that don't! You are clearly among the latter...But I also quite simply enjoy your poetry...

Marrise thank you they are a very old type of flower weavers use to compete for honours growing these in pots. Weavers usually lived in little cottages with the loom inside.

Your memories are well told, CCT; very enjoyable read. I do appreciate "gentle criticisms" on my work, anything more is too much..

Just to let you know your comment on the femme poem (since deleted) was right on target, and I take it as coming from a caring friend.

Re: Hey you got yher photo in the blog. Well done..and I really do want help
Kabu when I was a young boy and started writing poetry, I usually did it when I was working, I would change the poems around in my mind until they seemed reasonable. Of course when I got to about 15 poems it began to become a bit arduous. I am sure we could with a few suggestions make a goodie.

Hi Straight it is probably a trait from evolution, don't let anyone come to close until they are proved friendly.

Good post as usual. I love the poem. What are these pretty little flowers. I really love the spring and summer when you bring out the dainty ladies in their pots and show their lovely colors. So nice. Be blessed abundantly in all you do.

I find it nigh on to impossible to criticize other people's work even though it might be constructive criticism. So, I either read, or I don't, and just go on to other posts. But, I have no trouble telling someone if I like what they have done.

I did not realize that the flower and poems were together in one entry...I've known of many who did not take criticism well.
