Re:

Sam bad scenes are triggered at times like this, after running on adrenaline for a year

or so the body has to adjust I would imagine those chemical changes play havoc with the system  and the mind. Fortunately Christopher had the desired company to help him, so many soldiers get dumped by their  impatient girl friends when they are most vuneralble.

Arthur was telling me that a fishing friend said he was thinking of joining the Army preferably in an elite class.   Arthur said I said to him as they were standing beside the lake.

".Right. Smithson   in in you, just swim across the lake in your clobber and  light a fire on the far bank without making any smoke .' Smithson must have thought it over , he got married instead.

Re: I hope Violet's story will come back to mind

Pat, thank you I know it is only a little blog story, perhaps when I become better trained in this Dragon software, I shall be able to pronounce words with more clarity. It was a bit maddening as most programs these days ask if you wish to save, I am sure there is a link somewhere, but it might be a bit too late to bring the article back now I had better garment now or I may clobber this comment as I search for a way to outfit it in style.

Re:

Taps Arthur is always telling me how to pronounce words and given me little elocution lessons, but I can not say in 'due to Billy,' indubitably very easily, I first heard that word about 60 years ago it was spoken by an hardware assistant who had just been demobbed a local who had no doubt learned a few rather prestigious replies to foregone conclusions.

Re: sorry you lost the post but the travelling Gnome Dr. is cool.

Kabu treat them carefully and they will never want to leave your home. I am trying singing this to see if it is recognised and it appears to be but I am not going to say the dreaded word.

Well, won't bring the post back but it may scare away gnome buglets, lol. You're a good doc in any case, CCT!

I couldn't help it.  After I read the first part I laughed.    (clothes/close)
I have lost so many posts that I spent time and effort on that I really do know how you feel.

I hope Violet's story will come back to mind

and you will find a way to put it onscreen and save it. It is a bother and I forget to save often enough, but if you can think to do it every five or ten minutes, you'll be safer. I suppose you could say "garments" instead of "clothes."

Love the Gnome doctor, and his medical tools. Thanks for the surprising story. :)

Oh, I feel so badly for you! It is a terrible feeling to work on something for a long time and then lose it! I dislike learning the hard way on a new program! I loved the ending with the traveling gnome doctor! You have included just about everything in these offerings that are such a joy to read! I like reading about Violet because I have an whose name is Violet and haven't come across the name until your posts! A real treat for me!

Drill was difficult for Christopher because they are going through a series of training, I think that's how it's labeled on suicide, PTSD, and there was one other segment but it evades me now! He is familiar with PTSD and it's effects and how to recognize it! A few years back he thought he heard gun shots in his neighborhood and he went outside to check it out only to discover a farmhouse ablaze. He ran over there because an elderly couple lived in and they were taking care of their grandchildren! He did everything he could possible do but the house was to inflamed and he was unable to rescue anyone! They all perished. He had a difficult time for quite a period but managed to recover from the incident. He has been able to leave what happened in Afghanistan behind and forge a new life but it does have its difficult moments. We talked on the phone last night and his girlfriend recognized that his gunner from Afghanistan was not doing well! He plans to spend some time with him over the next few weeks to help him realize what is happening so he can get the needed help! War is hell CC and it takes a toll on the soldiers even after they leave! He did tell me that he didn't know what he would have done had he not had his girlfriend beside him to get him through! I just told him I was happy as a lark that they had each other!

Again, I am so sorry you lost your work! sam
