Pat

I can tell you why nobody talks much about the issues you mention, and which indeed are the important ones: because they're extremely complex and difficult issues, way beyond the understanding of most politicians, let alone that of the majority of the population at large, including the media...So the media focus on things that are easy to understand...

It's all part of the same, Pat_B - your previous post and this one. Each point is extremely important.

Sounds familiar Pat countries seem to follow each other into oblivion in some ways. I suppose the long and short of it is a lot of people have been living beyond means. Credit cards make things just too easy for those who have no control, as you know in the old days if we could not afford we did not have it. Governments have been the same, but it all has to be paid for in the end and the most vulnerable are usually the ones who suffer most. I still think one should keep ones eye on your previous quest.

I still say your last post is 100% spot on.

I never ever watch or listen to Rush.  Something about him turns me off before I turn him on.
