Very true. Besides, if the difference in the m.p.g. were as drastic as ten or fifteen miles, that might be cause for concern. But not four or five. Like you said, there are a myriad of factors that can affect mileage, and no one is going to get the exact m.p.g. that their car manufacturer claims. Hopefully this case will die a slow and quiet death in the courts.

Being a bit of a car freak myself, I know whereof you speak, and I completely agree. I am currently trying to decide if it would make sense for me to get the Golf Diesel as part of my down-sizing strategies, rather than one with a gas engine.
And that woman is a lawyer? She must have too much time on her hands because no one wants to hire her! I certainly wouldn't...

I am with you! She needed to do her homework! I always thought those were estimates and everything is contingent upon how the person drives, where they drive, etc! sam
