Naut

I think this poem is very strong in its foothold with regards to death. We always assume the unknown is fearful though just as death is..Thanks so much for your visit and I have to tell you that I am not good in remembering the names of poets..you seem to have a knack for it.

one of your best and I am glad that i wandered back to read this.

good questions and i don't have the answer. All I know is that most of my dear female friends died young and I have felt the need to live life to the full for me, and for them.

Naut, your poem conjures up visions of the "grim reaper"

who sooner or later comes for us all, maybe with a bit of both....

Naut, this is an amazing, thought-provoking poem.

We have many deaths, i.e. life changes, throughout our lives. Perhaps, it does make it a bit easier for us to be less burdened in the "end".

Love it, Naut.

I feel your pain, and know your loss. I find it best not to believe in death. Oh I know the word exists, and I have seen it up close and personal too many times, and I have been privileged to watch as the soul departs this vessel, I refuse to see it differently for any soul that loved and was loved, and fully expect to see all my dear friends another day.

I'm afraid it's both, but mercifully we don't notice.

Thought provoking! My first impression is that it is a little of both in varying doses while we work through the grieving! Exquisitely expressed, too! Shelly

Wonderfully expressed Naut... I often ask myself those questions...  perhaps not in such an elegant manner but I do wonder about the irony of it all... Be well  xoxoxo

A great question that many have pondered and will continue to ponder.

Love demands a final payment Naut, but it is better than oblivion.

Whatever it is, one must keep it in perspective as there is no alternative.
