After reading this post, I definitely have to work harder at becoming a writer. I so need to be able to use this kind of reasoning - it may keep the kids from checking out homes for their absent minded mom!

Very interesting observations. I have actually had similar experiences: while in my case it wouldn't be characters that take on their own life (since I don't write fiction), I find even ideas do sometimes...They take you in directions you had not anticipated or intended...

Interesting post and I've only tried to write fiction a coeple of times but I think I have to be working at something all the time with my hands.I like your thinking on there being another dimension perhaps,through writing fiction if I understood you properly.

C C, I am always writing a story - can't seem to not do it. Right now I'm finally working on a kind of Bio of my mother's life - been thinking about it for years, but it's been too big and scary. Lately I think I found an approach.

I know what you mean Pat and one can get quite fond of a character and smooth the way for him or her as story progresses. Are you going to write a story, I have not got the energy.
