Thank you Thomas. The disproportionate responses in the ongoing discussion was a necessary tool to highlight the folly of the 'so-called' revolutionists that only what they put faith in, their religion alone to the exclusion of all others, is going to bring about a better world without the thought of their being possibly disruptive. Revenge, is their Holy War. Through the use of allegorical expressions I have attempted to point out that even a tiny brain that can think logically and naturally is most definitely superior to one that is full of ideas implanted by fanatic leaders in the garb of 'regionists' to bring incalculable harm to the world. The theme of the write was "anti-parochialism".

That poem is very special to me as I am on a first name basis with most mosquitos. They populate my area in great abundance. Did you know that the mosquito is the national bird of Ontario? Great poetry my friend.

Just read the poem. I suppose an idea that comes to mind when reading it, is of disproportionate responses. If there is an allegory to be deciphered, at the moment its escaping me - I'm sure there will be one, I'm sure you had specific ideas in mind when writing it. The references to religion, fanaticism, all of that confirms the existence of an allegorical subtext.

The imagery of poem is well thought out, and funny too. Thomas.

Why, you have added another dimension to it which I very much like. "mutant" mosquit having sourced its power from sucking the blood of a higher intelligence than that of the bald man. Thank you so very much for the read andcomment.

Well it is different, of course to we who have seen about one mosqito and run in terror from it and have heard countless evil tales of the beastie. This might seem to give it a better reputation than one imagined. Perhaps this was a mutant having sourced its power from an unknown inteligent source not of course from the man with the bald head.

A good read.

I like the undertones in this poem, too! What a fine job you did in composing it! I especially liked how the lines were set up in each stanza! This is about more than the mosquito and man, it likens itself to a power struggle that could be generic in nature, how man overcomes and how his adversary makes it a conquest of a sort! BRAVO!
