I like to get my shopping done early but the last few years it hasn't worked out that way! And with Christopher in Afghanistan I am not in the mood for holiday fanfare! I did get a package off to him but I think my funk is that I can't give him his gifts until he gets home some time in January! sam

I've never shopped Etsy.com, so I went there before writing this comment to check it out. I think I will be spending more time there (when I get computer again). It looks fun.

Yes, Kabu, I was beginning to groan...
Truth be told, I've actually finished crocheting a matching hat and scarf set and a few bookmarks, including one in silver thread -- a bookworm with two little blue sequin eyes. After all, it couldn't read without eyes, could it? With the economy so slow, I think my usual gift books will have bookmarks tucked inside (cash or gift cards for Olive Garden). And I'm going to mail early -- doing my best to help the Post Office stay in business.

Don't tell me it is that time all ready. Well I suppose we can all drag last years gifts out and recycle them. I thought you would have a bonfire first Nov 5th .tomorrow and damn it I have just had shower, that will mean another tomorrow. You sound bright and cheerful today Kabu, happy packing

Wish I had my Etsy up and running! If I do it again I'll make it so people from out of the USA can order. I just couldn't get all the postage figured for out of the country, but will try again. I need to start working on Christmas gifts early. We didn't do any Christmas gifts for many years or celebrate :( , so I'm glad we do now.

It was a Hallmark ad, not advertising cards as such, but other items...I just thought, mabe I'll check the store out online..
