At he air port, years before 9/11, a man in the window seat on the row in front of me mentioned the word "bomb" in a joking way to the person he was with, a few minutes later they came and hauled them both away.

So many folks seem to be grim these days...
I overheard a person joking with an employee at Wal Mart about shoplifting. Their bags were searched before they could go out the door! No theft found and the joker was speechless - and smile-less as they went on their un-merry way. Sigh..

You knew you were joking but the officer would not necessarily! I think you are safer to keep those comments to yourself for one never knows what can of worms they may open! sam
