Wow, a whopping $26! LOL
Very generous of them!  I couldn't imagine what you would spend all that money on.
Is that all you get?  Like is that considered like what social security is here, or do you get payment in some other form also when you are retired?

That's interesting how Austrailia makes it hard to vote now for you.

to vote or not to vote!!  I think it might be easier if the task were TAKEN out of MY hands.  There hasn't been much of anything or anyone to vote on around here for quite awhile.  I think they ALL have to pass a "shady test" to even be in politics.........

May Ben Laden ROT IN HELL!!

hmmm I thought you were a citizen, thought you had double citizenship.  Oh well its hard to know who to vote for when they all seem to be crooked anymore or a wee bit shady

Uggh.

I've always tried to vote my conscience, but something about being around politicians makes me want to take my brain out of my head and rinse it off afterward. While some are genuinely concerned about us, there are many that are merely plastic people. Makes me a bit upset to the stomach...

Maybe you can't vote yourself, Kabu, but you can certainly
influence those who can with your insights and common sense. :)

Kabu dear you are a blessing to the country just being there. I certainly hope the elected officials would be as great a gift. Be blessed.

It should make you feel better to remember what Will Rogers said, "Anything important is never left to the vote of the people.  We only get to vote on some man; we never get to vote on what he is to do."

Life can be ironic, and unfair in some cases.  Transitions are often not easy.
