We use Orange Guard. It was recommended by our friend Lisa. It's natural. It's safe around humans, pets & food. It smells nice, but, for some reason, the ants can't stand it. At least, the ones around here. It works very well. I don't know if you have Ace in your area, but, they carry it.

Here we get earwigs...horrid creatures with tails they lift in a warning
that they will bite. We have to put down anti ..powder stuff they are so many of them. Even Mr. G hates them and won't go near them. Guess they have bitten him.

I've already set out my outdoor ant traps in and around the deck. One has to do that here or they absolutely take over the place.
