Pets are the best, at any age, the good creatures can  make life warmer and more entertaining.  Hope you can get some exercise this spring and get out some.

When one has a pet, there is always something to laugh about, and laughter is so good for ones health and well being.

I agree... the pets of more elderly people are much more pampered than those of the partying young

We do get happier to see good little kids and house pets.
I know I've gotten more sentimental. But I won't adopt a cat or dog for fear of tripping over them. Almost phobic about falling these days, especially on stairs. Bifocals make you see steps where they aren't. I still miss my kitty, who was still there after all the kids left. She's been gone since '93, but I still see her now and then on a Purina commercial.

Our dog Lucy comfort us so much.  We hug her and
talk to her more since our daughter is away at college.

Oh a lovely post. You have that so right. I can't imagine being without Mercy. She is a real companion to both of us. You three are a family. Be blessed and have a wonderful day dear lady.

Mr. Greysome is lucky to have you, Kabu. Coincidently, I took my younger cat, Ginger, in for her physical, shots and "Spa Day" at the vet yesterday.  She, too, was sleepy last night (but very, very clean and groomed).....Mal

What a delight to read - about the kitty, because animals are so dear, and about the, ahem, changing body image.  So true (and funny to read).

Well my cat doesn't like to be stroked, so I am a frustrated cat stroker. My Teddy bear doesn't mind so it's alright don't worry.

Deep, meaningful insights, Dear Kabu!
And the physical descriptions are very amusing..:) My Grandmothers had pets who they pampered like children but my Dear Mother doesn't have any interest in that regard. I wish she would; think it would do her a world of good.

Lovely, warm post as usual, Kabu. I guess I don't have to tell you I agree wholeheartedly. Love your amusing description of the body changes as we grow old(er). LOL!!

I hope kitty feels better soon.  I wish my cats would sleep at night more than during the day!<laugh> 7 cats up all night is not good for a woman's beauty rest. <haha>
