Johnny Mac, I've just been wondering about you and managed

to hold the thought long enough to actually put it in comment form. Apparently my ESP isn't sending well enough for you to know I miss your personality here. I hope you're all better after your adventures in medic land, and enjoying the prospect of spring.

Re: Re:

Hello mac.... so nice to hear from you, and sorry it's been so long... have posted today for the first time in ages...

Trust you to make light of your troubles... literally it seems..!  Hope you have nudged yourself into the men-zone exercises by now, because it means you will be eating better... we don't want you wasting away.  You managed to make me laugh when I read this (today!) and it prompted me to write a few words - well done..!

Me, I'm doing very well... my illness was/is one of emotional fragility, the sort of fallout that takes a long time to fix properly.. but we're working on it and I'm much, much better than I was a couple of years ago.  My lovely other half takes very good care of me.

Look after yourself..xxxx

Re:

Hi mneme.  I remembered you weren't well either, mneme, andIi hope you are a lot better.  Me?  I've had my colon and gastr -oscopies.  Nothing cancerous found but the Doc snipped a part of of my bowel off and said he will only get in touch if there is a problem - not a very helpful way of doing things, but so far it has been 3 weeks and no phone calls from the Doc.

He did say I needed a lot of iron - 3 pills a day.  (I have to verey careful when bypassing magnets nowadays in case of sudden attraction.)

Also changed the way I do gym.  Took an Impedance Test and was told I don't eat enough.  From that I've been given a diet and all I ever seem to do nowadays is eat, eat and eat.  I've also been allocated a new set of excercises at the gym.  I've put on 2lb in 2 weeks.  The ironic thing was that the machine printed off my excercises, including diagrams of how to do them, and as I was so lighweight, the machine automatically printed off the sheets showing a woman - a very sexy woman as well.  That is something I'm never going to hear the end of.

I hope you are a lot better now, mneme.  What's been happening?

Re: OK it's 12 days past that last. Hope you're alright

Thanks for asking majroj - I apologise profusely for not posting anything for, for, for how long?  Jeeesus!  I'm feeling better - still have no idea what's been wrong.  Have had a mammograph (shh, don't spread the word around) and no cancerous signs.  Was then shuffled off for more blood & urine, faeces tests by Endocrinologist.

She can find nothing wrong except a shortage of iron - iron please note, not irony, and a slight case of anemia.  She figured more blood tests and a faeces test would be a good idea and booked me in with a colonoscopy Doc on Thursday.  One thing she did do was tell me to start taking B12 as it helps to make blood cells, and helps the memory and the mind.

I'm now on my 8th day of the B12 and I can't believe how much I'm beginning to feel like 'me' again - but then perhaps it is only because the sun is shining - naaw, can't be that, the sun doesn't help humour and mine is awakening.  Take care young majroj; I hope you are in good health.

TAPS
I haven't been here for 10 days either, TAPS, and it is time I got my finger out of my rear orifice.

I wish him all the best, sam444, and a safe return.  Our granddaughter is still in VMI, and when she passes out next year, I hope there is nowhere to go - Huh!  Fat chance.

I think we already have those pigs, northsage_45. As for the radiation from Japan, we were munching some biscuits yesterday and when we saw the 'made in Japan' sign, we paused in our munching.

Sigh!  And it is still not springtime, Pat. All we have here at the moment is rain - this is the second day.  It has helped to clear the snow, but it is still heaped up at the bottom of the garden.

I am about ten days late in reading this, so I am wondering what has happened to you since you wrote this.  Time and chance never stops or waits, just piles it on.

Amazing what can happen in 10 days if we just pay attention! And, ten days ago my son was still in the states and now he's in Afghanistan! WOW! sam

You are complaining about snow & rain? Be glad you're not in Japan!
With all that radiation fallout and water & veggies that glow in the dark, it won't be long before a whole new gang of monsters vavages Toykyo again. Too bad, after their soldiers and bombs killed off the last of the earlier bunch of radioactively created monsters. Let's see, Godzilla, Mothra, et al, have gone the way of the dodo bird. Of all the world's countries, I'd have thought that the Japanese would be among the last, to embrace nuclear technology for power generation. Now that they have been irradiated again, what should they expect NEXT? Flying, fire breathing, thirty ton, eight-legged, clawed, venomous armor-plated pigs, that crave human flesh? Wouldn't surprise me.

Except for the ice and the ice rafts full of geese, your weather
is pretty much the same as ours. This a.m. about 5:15, the Channel 4 weatherman said someone was reporting "hamster-size" snowflakes. If it ain't snow hamsters, it's raining cats & dogs... And we, too, have overnight grass and bloomin' things.

Thank you for the daily update - very amusing John but I am sure the scenery was astonishing. You are never safe anywhere it seems.
