No, the house is not being sold--but I need to make a new home of my own. This has been in the works for a long time, but finally--for a moment--I thought it was happening.
It might yet. Tomorrow I will know, one way or the other, if we can work out this wrinkle.
In any case, I am over my sulk, and will get on with things...

Yes, we have em and that's what we are using. They value the vehicle according to some system that doesn't quite match up with the dealer's system. The thing was, I thought they had all the information to give us a valid answer. They ignored most of it until after we made our deal with the dealer.
So... maybe we can go with half auto loan, half personal loan. Still waiting to see if that will even be possible.

I am really sorry to hear that things are not going according to plan. If the bank is the major obstacle - would it make sense to try another bank, or possibly a credit union? (Actually, I don't know if you have credit unions in the States...)
