This is a very haunting, and I don't think I have ever heard it put so well as your last words.

oh my gosh, I can SO relate to this - so much so that i can't even write about it, though I've really tried.  Thanks for expressing it so well.

Sometimes it is hard to forgive, but all religions agree on forgiveness. So I am always forgiving no matter how bad is the situation. Regards, Chuck.

Raye, you are thw real winner when it comes to forgiveness....
You've done your part, now just let the other party continue to gloat and spout, but turn a deaf ear to it (not easy, I know, but once done, it gets easier), and people will see right through the antagonist eventually.....

Forgiving might be the most difficult act to undertake.

I would stay with the struggle for forgiveness is for the beholder and it sets them free in my humble opinion! sam

It's hard to understand why people hurt us like they do...and yes, it can
be tough to forgive...been there...but forgiveness is more for you than for them...it's better for your health and peace of mind.  Hope you can resolve the issue.

Re:
Thank you, my friend..so well said. I am re-discovering the peace of forgiveness; just got a bit ruffled and put off.

Raye I am sure you are much stronger in spirit and emotion after all your trauma. You have a lovely mind. Why should you care what anyone says about you, they may not be  blessed.

TO LOVE OUR ENEMIES IS ONE OF THE GREATEST FEELINGS, THE BIBLE SAYS IT IS LIKE HEAPING COALS ON THEIR HEAD, THEY JUST CAN'T UNDERSTAND IT, AND BESIDES IF WE WANT FORGIVENESS WE MUST FORGIVE
