At first I thought they were fun...
....and I've probably used one about 10X in the past 3 or 4 years and every single time the clerk ends up coming to unlock it cuz something has gone wrong. I still kind of like them though!

I loved the take on checking one's self out, lol! I like the self check station because it is quick, unless one gets stuck behind a 25 item person! sam

For some strange reason, I always pass them up and stand in long lines.
I did, though, finally acquaint myself with the self-checkout service at the library.

At first I was perturbed at your talking back to a machine, but I just realised I've been talking back to this keyboard. I haven't tried one yet, Whacky, but that's because I haven't seen one. But I don't like the idea of having to iron my money first - how on earth do you iron a quarter?
