Her doctor may be able to get some sort of Power of Attorney ...temporary
...together intocare. especially since the brain tumour may be upsetting her ability to think clearly...the dogs are at risk too. Talk it over with the others that care...or her children.

This sounds very difficult
I think the landlord is wrong to put you under so much pressure. You are already being a friend. I think it sounds like it's time someone professional was called to come and talk it through with her. It's very hard because she is obviously not well enough to think in a rational fashion so expecting her to see things clearly might be beyond her. This is why it comes back to contacting a professional agency or a doctor or someone who can refer someone. It is not unreasonable. Perhaps they can then provide her with some more support or help her to see that the current arrangement is making it difficult for people around her. Do not be critical of yourself over this. You sound like you have been a very good friend. PLease take care.
