Wow Nita, awesome choice. Mary Olivers poetry will live well beyond her. The poem is a beauty.

"The world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things."
  ~Mary Oliver

Mary Oliver writes it down when the world offers her a tidbit, and so we have her poetry.  I always intend to be more like that, but I find myself too often without a pen and then forget.

Such a fantastic poem! Nice to  catch up with you, too! I have been very busy getting things in order for Christopher's visit! It will be his last holiday before heading to Afghanistan and I want to make it as enjoyable as I possibly can! I have started decorating for Christmas and I am the first in my neighborhood, but judging from the stares I do believe they think I am pushing the season, but I'm not trying to push it! lol Shelly

This is a great poem, Nita. Another one for me to keep. Thank you. How's Ashish?
