Re: Bel

Naut,

Have no worries.  Carl knows who you and so many here are.  He knows that I have been blessed to be surrounded by so many here for so long.  I have no doubt, he would be pleased to shake your hand.

Eye Doctors, Middle School Choir And Justi Has Me Riled
It annoys me as well when I see staff belittled infront of other people.

The middle school choir sounds great. Almost all our middle schools have gone now and we have just primary and secondary schools (upto and over 11)

Bel

I read this, but then I had to drop in a Justi's to see what that was all about. And I had heard of this, as it turns out, and at the time it made me at least as furious as it made you, so much so that I was actually tempted to go to Mickey D's to load up on grease for a week, even though I never eat there, just as a protest against this damn government interference in all aspects of our lives! But, as I told Justi, in the end I settled for some scotch...LOL

And of course I also agree with you about that eye doctor - what a tactless, ill-mannered, inconsiderate boor! I wouldn't give him the time of day, let alone my business...

And it's nice that your niece is having fun at school performing = maybe she'll discover a love for the stage...

And last not least I've been catching up on your other posts as well, and I'm flattered that you would take me home! I'd be delighted to take you up on that, but I think you should clear it with Carl first...

What a variety of subjects you have presented here.  I felt like I was skipping from one stepping stone to another over a trickling brook.  Fun read.

When my son was little, we often had breakfast at McDonald's whenever we were on vacation, something we never did on home ground. He's not so little any more but he still thinks it's a treat to eat at McDonald's.

I am not too keen on watching others belittle another. I don't blame you for deciding never to go to that eye doctor again.

oh my --- yes I don't think I would do well with staff being oppressed, belittled or unappreciated no...and as far as McDonalds - you know yesterday I stopped to have some 'hot french fries' --- I crave hot french fries sometimes.  I stopped at McDonalds --- my car smelled like 'foul' gas.  LOL --- I wonder why their fries smell so badly.  At any rate, I stopped later and picked up this parcel from a friend...she walked me to the car to assist me with the parcel and I opened my door and foul as foul could be...that stench remained.  She told me with a push shut of my door, "you know how long the shelf therefore stomach life is on them babies..." LOL --- "leave those fries alone..." and I smiled and laughed and tee-hee'd but thought, ewwwww....but never mind, that...you do what you want to do; kids and french fries and McDonalds have been around for a long time - I remember at 10 (I'm 55) seeing those golden arches and drooling for the burger.  I remember butter - I remember lard and yes, I remember all those now considered 'bad' things...Elyse

I don't know what San Francisco or Mickey D's is up to
but I don't like a jerk who belittles his workers in front of customers. Makes you wonder how he treats his wife (if one would put up with him). That kind of cut-down behavior is a sure sign of a little man. Husbands who put down their wives (and wives who put down their husbands) are people I try to avoid.

Bel I got you dear one... San Fran can do some cleaning up before they begin to tell people how to raise their children. I agree with you a business person, a professional or a Wrestler  should have better manners than to belittle their personnel before others. I am with you all the way!

You go girl! lol I hope you get what you want out of the fight! And I agree that middle school has changed over the years and quite dramatically! BTW, don't listen to your mother! There's my reminder! lol  sam

But Mickey D's do make real nice coffee and in Australia I stopped
the car and I had warmed banana bread with real butter and a coffee and was so refreshed after the food and using the clean facilities I drove on for hours. But I don't do Burger's and fries any more. now I have to go and read what Justi said ...I seem to have missed that post.
